What is the difference between Normal passenger lift and Capacitor Lift
Difference between Normal passenger lift & Capacitor Lift. Though all normal lifts are actually used to carry guests or passengers but there are few special features that differentiate them from Capacitor Lift. The main difference is that with a normal passenger lift the weight of the passenger is carried by the floor system and with a capacitor lift the weight is carried by the suspension spring. Both of them provide safe and convenient ways to transport people or goods from one floor to other.
Both of these types of lifts use suspension spring or wheels to lower or raise the load. However, in case of a passenger lift these are provided with the option of folding or unfolding the panels which provide space for additional loads. This is done in both cases, as in case of normal Capsule Lifts that are installed on a permanent structure. In case of a folding Capacitor Lift, the support structure has to be constructed at the base, and once it is done, the folded panels can be folded upwards to the required level.
Both of these forms of passenger lifts use the same basic components and therefore they both run on the same engine or series of engines. The difference between these two types of lifts is that the wheeled type uses a drive train whereas the Panoramic elevators use a suspension system. These differences make Panoramic lifts more efficient when carrying heavy loads whereas the suspension system of a passenger lift helps it to absorb shock when loads are heavy. Both of these systems also have safety aspects and both can help reduce the chances of an accident occurring.
Both of these types of elevators are available in different lengths and in varying widths. Most of the modern day commercial elevators are fitted with panoramic lifts or a combination of both types of lifts. There are also many such lifts which are being modified to incorporate safety features like seat belts. To meet the growing needs of the industries, there are many companies who are manufacturing and selling such elevators.
